We are excited to share that the Taproot Foundation has joined the America Forward coalition. The Taproot Foundation is the nation’s largest nonprofit consulting firm, and is dedicated to strengthening nonprofits by engaging business professionals in service. The Taproot Foundation’s innovative approach to bolstering the nonprofit sector has yielded impressive results.

Since 2001, the Taproot Foundation has awarded more than 695 pro bono projects, supporting more than 500 nonprofit organizations, whose programs collectively serve 19 million Americans. Unlike traditional foundations which award cash grants, the Taproot Foundation blends elements of grantmaking, professional services, and volunteerism to provide “Service Grants” in the areas of marketing, information technology, leadership development and strategic human resources, and strategy management. These innovative Service Grants are the signature effort, and economic driver of the organization. In the past eight years, the Taproot Foundation has recruited more than 9,000 business professionals to volunteer their skills, and delivered 302,500 hours and $27.8 million worth of professional service.
