Four overarching principles inform America Forward’s policy approach:

Scale Proven Programs: Open doors for high-impact organizations to receive the resources they need to grow. This includes identifying ways to measure what works and allowing for regular competition in grants for the nonprofit sector.

Inspire Innovation: Social problem solving needs a system of research and development, testing, application, and scaling similar to systems in place for the private sector.

Make Markets: The social sector requires human and financial capital, but there are many barriers that prevent nonprofits from receiving these important resources.

Engage Everyone: We can make public dollars go farther by leveraging the private sector, engaging in partnerships, and inspiring citizens to engage in service.
