Jessica Crawford

Jessica Crawford is the External Affairs Director for America Forward, where she manages America Forward's engagement in the 2020 election cycle, the America Forward Coalition, and America Forward's communications efforts.


Jessica has worked at America Forward since 2012. Prior to joining America Forward, Jessica served as Director of Government Relations at a Federal Government affairs firm, where she worked on behalf of clients in the areas of education, workforce development, financial service, healthcare, and transportation. Previously, Jessica served as Legislative Assistant and Staff Liaison to the House Education and the Workforce Committee for Rep. Michael N. Castle. Jessica also served as Legislative Assistant and Assistant Communications Director for the House Committee on Education and the Workforce under the leadership of former Speaker of the House John Boehner and Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon, where she was responsible for amplifying and assisting with matters before the Committee including the reauthorization of the Head Start Act, the Child Nutrition Act, and the Higher Education Act, as well as efforts to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. Jessica also served as Legislative Correspondent to Rep. Jim Greenwood.

Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from The George Washington University and her Master of Arts in communications from Johns Hopkins University. Jessica currently lives in Norfolk, VA with her husband and two young daughters.
