Daniel López

Policy and Development Manager

Daniel López is America Forward’s Policy and Development Manager. Daniel helps lead America Forward’s economic mobility, post-secondary education, and social innovation policy and advocacy work, with a special emphasis on evidence-based policy development and implementation. Daniel also supports America Forward’s development, investor relations, and grant-management efforts. In addition to his role with America Forward, Daniel is a Campus CoGenerate Program Consultant, where he leads the Campus CoGenerate Affinity Network’s design and implementation, supports campus partners, and enhances the initiative’s impact.

Daniel was drawn to America Forward’s commitment to championing evidence-based policymaking that leads to meaningful policy change. Before joining America Forward, Daniel was a research analyst with Building America’s Workforce at the Urban Institute. Daniel’s research focused on workforce development, policy analysis and evaluation, post-secondary online learning, performance management, and immigration. Daniel co-managed the Career and Technical Education CoLab (CTE CoLab), a community of practice that aims to reduce disparities in academic and career outcomes for students of color enrolled in credit-bearing online postsecondary CTE programs. Before working at the Urban Institute, Daniel was a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Public Policy Fellow at the U.S. House of Representatives with portfolios in immigration, education, and health.

Daniel holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
