America Forward achieves major wins to advance priorities in the areas of education, economic mobility, and civic participation.

2025

To date, America Forward and our Coalition members have driven millions of federal resources to achieve measurable results, including $2 billion in federal funding towards social innovation.

2022-23

Congress invests $50 million in a vital new higher education innovation fund, Postsecondary Student Success Grants (PSSG), with critical support from the America Forward Coalition.

2022-2023

America Forward leads a whole learner media campaign that generates 30+ million impressions and 8+ million engagements across social media platforms.

2021

Education COVID relief funding dedicated to evidence-based whole learner approaches passes, including $25.3 billion set-aside for whole learner approaches.

2018

In 2018's Bipartisan Budget Act, America Forward secured more than $200 million in prospective pay-for-success funding through the creation of the transformational $100 million Social Impact Partnerships to Pay for Results Act (SIPPRA) demonstration fund, as well as pay-for-success authority under the Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program. In addition, the bill included landmark legislation authorizing the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment Grants (RESEA) that drives more than $50 million annually to evidence-based and outcomes-focused workforce spending each year.

December 2015

America Forward worked closely with Congress to ensure the passage of and shape key elements of the Every Student Succeeds Act to ensure the new Law catalyzes cross-sector partnerships, rewards results, spurs innovation, supports learner-centered systems, pushes forward on accountability and transparency, and ensures our teachers and school leaders have the tools necessary to support all students.

October 2015

America Forward launches its 2016 Presidential engagement efforts with the release of its Moving America Forward: Innovators Lead the Way to Unlocking America’s Potential Presidential Briefing Book.

July 2014

America Forward was directly involved in developing, advocating for, and ensuring the ultimate passage of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) which included, for the first time in federal Law, provisions incentivizing Pay for Success.

America Forward launches its Pay for Success Policy Task Force.

America Forward launches its Workforce Development Task Force.

America Forward launches its Education Task Force.

2010

The Corporation for National Service (CNCS) awards first round of grants from the Social Innovation Fund.

2009

America Forward plays a lead role in shaping and advocating for passage of the bipartisan Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act to expand national service programs.

2009

Two landmark initiatives New Profit and America Forward were instrumental in supporting - The White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation and the Social Innovation Fund - launch.

2008
