America Forward Coalition Members Step up — May 2022

Every month, America Forward is highlighting a few examples of the vital work being done by our Coalition members to support students, families, educators, workers, elected leaders, advocates, and communities across the country. Social Impact Architects

To support their community throughout the ongoing and constantly evolving pandemic, Social Impact Architects offers a Coronavirus Nonprofit Resource Center, featuring their “latest thinking and blogs…up-to-date legislative details, helpful hints and examples, free resources and more.” Their latest piece, “Crossing the Rubicon: Navigating NEW Strategic Shifts in Your Nonprofit,” outlines the new and different challenges facing the social sector, and opens up a conversation for identifying innovative solutions going forward.

UpTogether

Throughout COVID-19 and beyond, UpTogether has been committed to investing in people and families in order to improve outcomes and mobility for those whose communities have long been undervalued and under-served. Recently, they released their 2021 Impact Report, which highlights key moments from the last year, community member stories, impact statistics, and more.

Project Evident

Project Evident recently released a new case study, “A Multi-Year Evidence Building Partnership: The Duke Endowment Summer Literacy Initiative,” as part of their Actionable Evidence Initiative. The Initiative includes an Actionable Evidence Framework, “developed with a community of researchers, practitioners, funders, and policymakers to promote a shared understanding of the principles that define actionable evidence,” as well as a range of case studies that “illustrate how researchers, practitioners, funders, and policymakers across the country are exemplifying principles of the Actionable Evidence Framework.”

REDF

REDF is committed to supporting businesses that break down barriers to employment, and building an economy that truly works for all. To this end, they offer REDFworkshop, “a platform for tools, best practices, and the shared experiences of people working to create opportunities for those who face barriers to employment,” including a start-up tools suite, learning guides, connections, resources, and more.

Third Sector Capital Partners

In service of their mission to transform “public systems to advance improved and equitable outcomes,” Third Sector offers a wide range of key resources to support their community. These include “Lessons Learned” reporters, government resources (federal and local/state levels), webinars, project focus areas, videos, and more.
